Privacy policy
Who can see what
This is the part most people want first, so it comes first. These rules are enforced by the database itself, not only by what the website chooses to display.
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Your published profile — name, headline, location, experience, modules, project history including client names, certifications and their verification status, education, languages, industries, links, availability | Anyone, including search engines, once you publish it with a name, headline, city, track, product families and availability. You can unpublish at any time. |
| Your employment history — employers, designations, dates and descriptions | Signed-in recruiters only — never anonymous visitors or search engines. An employer you mark confidential is shown only as the description you give, and the company you hide from never sees your history. |
| Your email, phone and postal address | Only a company you reply to, or whose role you apply to. Unlocking your profile alone does not share them. |
| Your rate | Only if you choose to show it. It is off whenever you switch it off. |
| Your email and phone number | An employer only after they pay to unlock your contact details. |
| Gender, nationality, marital status (all optional) | An employer only after they unlock you. Kept in a separate table the public cannot reach. |
| Date of birth (optional) | Never shown as a date. After an unlock, an employer sees only an age band. |
| Your current and expected salary | Never shown to any employer. |
| A freelance-only profile | Signed-in employers only, and not indexed by search engines. If you choose anonymous mode, it shows a handle instead of your name. |
Hiding from your current employer
If you tell us who you work for and ask to be hidden from them, your profile does not appear to anyone signed in to Fusora as a member of that company. Be aware of the limit: a published profile is public, so someone from that company who is signed out, or who visits your profile link directly while signed out, can still see it. If that matters, unpublish your profile.
Client names in your project history
Project history is public on a published profile, including the client names you enter. If you worked under a confidentiality agreement, leave the client name out — you can still describe the engagement.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and password. Your password is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see it.
- Your professional profile: everything you add to it — the fields listed above, plus summary, photo, preferred locations, technical stack, certifications and any evidence documents you upload, education, qualifications, work authorisation, career breaks, notice period and engagement preferences.
- Salary figures: your current and expected salary, if you enter them. Kept for your own reference. They are never shown to an employer and are not used in our salary insights, which are built only from the rates candidates choose to show.
- Optional personal details: gender, date of birth, nationality, marital status and phone number. None of these is required.
- If you hire through Fusora: your company’s details, your team members, the roles you post, your searches, shortlists, notes and messages.
- What you send us: anything you submit through our contact form.
What we don’t collect: we run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Your browser stores only what the site needs to work — your sign-in session, your light or dark theme choice, and an unsaved draft of your profile while you are building it.
How we use it
- To show your profile and match you with roles that fit your modules and experience.
- To let employers search for you, and to reveal your contact details only once they have paid to do so.
- To check your certifications by hand against Oracle’s published records.
- To send you the notifications you have chosen in your settings.
- To produce anonymised figures: salary insights draw only on candidates who chose to show a rate and are never published for fewer than five people; anything we show about employer demand never names a company.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use Supabase to store data, handle sign-in and store uploaded files, and Vercel to host the website. When we send you email we use an email delivery provider. These services process data on our instructions and for no other purpose.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it — most of it you can change yourself, at any time;
- erase it;
- withdraw consent you have given, for example to marketing email, which you can also switch off in your settings;
- deal with a grievance about how we have handled your data;
- let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.
To do any of these, use our contact formand choose “Privacy or data request”. A person reads every request.
Deleting your profile
When you delete your profile, it disappears from every public and employer-facing page straight away. To have your data erased entirely, send us a privacy request and we will remove it, except for anything we are required by law to keep, such as invoices. One thing we cannot undo: an employer who unlocked your contact details before you deleted your profile has already seen them.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. Once you ask us to erase it, we do, apart from records the law requires us to retain.
Security
Access to your data is controlled in the database itself — who can read a profile, reveal contact details or see salary figures is decided there, not left to the website. No system is perfectly secure, and if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Age
Fusora is for professionals aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your data is used or who can see it, we will tell you before it takes effect.
